The Late Show

Thu, 01/23/2014 - 10:57 -- _Karlee

As the milky moon makes its first debut,

into the mysterious dark of night,

a magnificent cream against blue.

The trees are thick and hollow through.

Their inhabitants of birds are active in flight

as the milky moon makes its first debut.

Leaves are scattered on the ground, askew,

beneath the sky of light,

a magnificent cream against blue.

The grass is covered in diamond dew,

and the stars are in the sky like a kite,

as the milky moon makes its first debut.

If somebody had told me, if only I knew

that the moon would finally come out just right,

a magnificent cream against blue.

The sunset is the only cue,
for the night time madness to ignite.
As the milky moon makes its first debut,
a magnificent cream against blue.
