A Land No More
There once was a land covered in green,
With creatures who swam, and flew, and ran.
First fire, then war, then machines did conquer,
This Garden of Eden, this land of green.
There once was a land stripped and paved,
With creatures who took, and wasted, and killed.
First toxins, then plagues, then destruction did ravage,
This concrete jungle, this land of graves.
There once was a land barren and trashed,
With no creatures who breathed, and moved, and lived.
First heat, then water, then obliteration did strike,
This wasteland of gloom, this land of ash.
