Lala

All it takes is someone who cares
and I care
Someone to look back at you when you stare
and I'm here
To wipe the blood from your wrist,
to give you these words to replace a hug or a kiss
And I'm the one who's all talk
my efforts washed away by tears
like rain to chalk
But I'll try again every night that you need me
because I want you to be blind to your past
every time that you see me
You have your demons
and I have you
I'll tell you how perfectly it will work out
even if it's not the truth
But it doesn't matter what's true
it's about what we believe
And it's not about what's real
it's about what we perceive
For a world so hard to understand
it's just all in our head
Just like the melody of our lies
that remind us why we aren't dead

Me
Our world
