Kiss the World Goodbye

Mon, 11/18/2013 - 21:06 -- Lizculb

I looked over at him, sitting on the floor

Knees bent, heart open, letting only himself be revealed

I'd never seen a teacher like this

Could he really be only human?

When asked his fears, he looked down

As all the he girls around shared their stories

I hate giving back tests, now you know

I hate being the deliverer

That breaks the camel's back

He is fortunate

He understands

He knows what it's like

To be unable to stand

After receiving that test, you want to cry

I'm worthless!

I'm nothing!

I'll kiss this world goodbye.

He is the lucky one

The one who knows

If only every teacher

Understood that this

Is how it goes.
