A Killer's Reason
The vibrating sound of the machinery rang loudly throughout the room.
I took great pleasure in listening to its penetrating music as I watched
her small statured body wreathe against the blood-stained straps
that held her tightly to the sturdy chair.
I had been lucky enough to find this little dame strolling down alone on Main Street.
Her solid courage to be alone in a big city where there are predators
like myself everywhere, struck me and drew me in,
as I decided to follow along with her.
The woman’s head shook lightly as her voice came out muffled
from under the soiled cloth I had wedged between her teeth.
I assumed that she was doing what every victim I abducted did: beg for their pitiful life.
I remembered how she screamed for help, and threw her fists against me.
I appreciated the fact that she thought some self-centered person would
want to come and aid her to safety but of course no one would.
As I turned my head, my eyes clung to her small form.
She was still struggling to gain her escape from the old abandoned building.
I knew that I had a real tendency to want to make a connection
with my victims before ending their life.
I stepped closer to the chair she was forcibly sat down in as she halted all movements.
My hand grazed against her womanly soft tan-like skin of her plump cheek.
The dark, cool brown makeup she used made her face look hollow to a person’s view
but as up close as I was, I could see the truth.
I could see that she was a beautiful girl, not yet hitting her thirties,
but yet she still had a mature quality to her.
She felt different, like it was something new I had not yet experienced.
