Jesus Changes Everything

Lost, Found

Hidden, Exposed

Weak, Strong

Confused, Assured

Prideful, Humble

Dead, Alive

This is the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

You see, there was a time when I was stranded in the desert with no water,

Lost in the wilderness with no way out

In a maze of shame, pride, and doubt

While stuck in these places I searched for fulfillment

And I thought I found it

Because there’s water in the desert, but the cactus hurts, and I was left thirsty still

There’s food in the wilderness, but it’s poison, and I was left hungry still

There’s even a way through the maze, but it leads to destruction

After exhausting all of these efforts I had no effort left to give

And I began to drown in sin

And it was when

I was in the low of lows

In the pits of despair

That the King of Glory stepped down from His throne and said, “My Son, go there.”

This is the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

In Isaiah 43 God says,

“Look, I am about to do something new;

even now it is coming.

Do you not see it?

Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness,

rivers in the desert.”

So while I was stuck in my own self-pity,

hiding my sins so I could figure my own way out,

God had already made a way

He sent Jesus to save

And you know what the big deal is?

Jesus, while fully God, was also a man.

He wasn’t just some outsider giving commands.

He knew the consequence of sin first-hand

even though he never sinned.

This is the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He found me when I was lost

Exposed my hidden sins

So that I could use my weakness to become strong in Him

And yes, it's confusing how the last will be first, and the first, last,

But He assured me that choosing humility instead of pride

Was the way to move from death into life

I was dead

and now I’m alive because

Jesus changes everything

Lost, Found

Hidden, Exposed

Weak, Strong

Confused, Assured

Prideful, Humble

Dead, Alive
