Jacket

I found his jacket,
And it made tears,
Come to my eyes,
It reminds me,
Of the way he held me,
An how he would wrap it around me,
When I was cold,
THe way he wiped my tears away,
Now, he turns away,
Watches my tears fall,
I hold that jacket close,
To remind myself of who he was,
Not who he is,
i can't go on like this,
I don't want to fight,
I don't want to cry,
Not anymore,
I will walk away,
Though, it will be hard,
But I must leave him behind,
I love him,
With all my being,
But I'm not happy anymore,
I must leave him,
Not for a day,
Not for three days,
Only if my heart feels safe,
Will that jacket embrace me,
With his love,
Now,
It is just a jacket,
With the memories of a powerful,
Wonderful,
Beautiful,
Young love stitched into it,
Goodbye jacket,
Goodbye my love.
