It Isn't Over

Thu, 05/22/2014 - 19:25 -- ekeddie

I’m a young girl,

Naively so.

I haven’t seen much in my days,

But I’ve seen the season and the snow.

I’ve watched out my window as the leaves fall to the ground

And snow covers them like a bitterly cold sheet.

I’ve seen the lilies grow from the ground;

And children play in the summer’s heat.

But even so, I’ve seen my share of hurt

From a world that has grown so bitter.

So cold and hard

And everyone seem like a quitter.

I’ve learned a couple things myself.

First things first, never quit.

Moving on now.

Never submit.

You see,

The Devil will feed you lies until you stop believing.

And then once he has you,

The Devil will fed you lies until your heart stops beating.

For he never wants you to see the Light.

He does not want you to discover the real Truth.

That yes, this life is hard

And you’ll see more than your share in your youth

But God offers you a new beginning,

He offers you life after you thought you had died.

He offers you water for your thirst

And bread to help you provide.

You see it’s only darkest before the dawn

And I can say that because I’ve been there.

Yes, I’m young,

But for age the Devil doesn’t care.

He’ll take anyone down.

Bringing anyone to his side.

For he know this battle he’s losing,

And with it his pride is going.

So come to the Father,

Come to Healer of life.

Let Him nurture you

And you can finally leave your strife.
