Inside Out

If you turn me inside out

You shall not find mere biological organs

You will encounter an eager soul

Yearning to fully investigate the world

That lies beyond my flesh and skin

She is emotional, deep, ahead of her years

A little eccentric and very affectionate

She is also a contrast to her peers

Despite her desperate pleas

She cannot meet everyone

Not everyone can bare the weight

Of her friendship

Not everyone can embrace her

The way she can embrace them

Most times, she will be misunderstood

And she needs to be understood

So the side that everyone sees

Is the outer side of me
