Innocence

As a kid I used to think everything was perfect

I believed everything was good

We all set our mouths to respect

And today I doubt that’s even used

I saw everything with love

And nothing was dark in my surroundings

Imagination was all around

And now it’s difficult to find it

I wanna go back to those old days

When the brand on your clothes

Didn’t dictate who you were

Or when being yourself

Wasn’t called being rare

When race or color didn’t change our ways

Or when people on TV

Didn’t tell us what to wear

But above everyhting else

I want to own nothing

But my INNOCENCE
