Indifference 2 ...

Isaiah 29:9-10 God’s People Are Spiritually InsensitiveYou will be shocked and amazed!
You are totally blind!
They are drunk, but not because of wine;
they stagger, but not because of beer.
10 For the Lord has poured out on you
a strong urge to sleep deeply.
He has shut your eyes (the prophets),
and covered your heads (the seers).
  Indifference

Where did you leave My feelings?

Where has My compassion gone?

When you started you were little

but so quick became overgrown.

I remember just a little shrug

for someone who had a need.

You moved My tenderness aside

as I wished her “God’s speed”.

My eyes can’t see and I am deaf

there is no light inside.

All darkness has closed me in

as I stumble with my hands tied.

You took my heart and buried it

in a grave marked “ I don’t care”.

Now I’m standing all alone

with cries for help everywhere.
