Impressed

Those dishes that I cooked,

Those stories that I said,

Baby, you said you were impressed...

Those experiences that I shared,

Those secrets that I bared,

Baby, you said you were impressed..

Those peering looks we gave,

Those soulful kisses,

Those hugs,

And the sparks that flared,

Baby, you said you were impressed...

Suddenly that day arrived,

You said your good byes,

Felt like a punch in my face,

But I smiled and replied,

Whatever you need babe,

Again you said, you were impressed...

I hid my tears,

And gulped down my fears,

I smiled for you with a normal face,

Baby, you said you were impressed...

All that impressing has gone in vain,

I am left with nothing except this pain,

I wish I could tell you,

That you broke me for good,

But here I am,

Leaving my feelings suppressed,

Baby, you said you were impressed...
