I'm not here to lecture you

I'm not here to lecture you
and I'm not here to preach,
Nor how to accomplish your goals,
am I here to teach.

I'm not here to write about
my troubles and pain,
Nor to tell you to stop
living your life in vain.

I'm just here to tell you
about all of my past,
That has only made me have to
grow up too fast.

You see I live the hard life
filled with drugs and crime,
Most of my life was spent
behind Bars doing time.

I lost my dignity and pride
and I even lost my kids,
I paid a high price
for the things that I did.

Trying to go on with my life
people failed to see,
That a hope to die dopfien
Isn't what I wanted to be.

Because my days were always been crying wishing my kids were here being funny,
But my nights were always spent
selling dope to make money.

You see there is no pain that can top
The pain of losing your kids,,
And if only God would give me one more chance
I would change all the things that I did.

Because to fight for your life and kids
You should always do whatever it takes,
I just hope and pray this poem
will help you learn from my mistakes.
