I'll Wish These Truths Weren't So

Forever I walk the world alone

And forever I’ll walk in the dark

And forever I’ll go where no one goes

And forever I’ll wish these truths weren’t so

Forever I’ll search for peace

And forever I’ll come up empty-handed

And forever I’ll claim to be who I am

And forever I’ll find myself untrustworthy

Forever I’ll love like there’s nothing left

And forever I’ll know that there is nothing left

And forever I’ll tell myself it’s okay

And forever I’ll wish these truths weren’t so

Forever I’ll chase after hopes and dreams

And forever I’ll fall flat on my face

And forever I’ll hide behind a broken mask

And forever I’ll carry bloodied hands

Forever I’ll hold onto all that is lost

And forever I’ll pray for a sunrise

And forever I’ll try to move on

And forever I’ll wish these truths weren’t so

And forever everything is ending

And forever everyone is dying

And forever the world needs healing

And forever the chaos is coming

And forever I’ll never let it go

And forever I’ll always see your face

Forever I’ll wish these truths weren’t so

Because forever I walk the world alone
