I'll take you there

(poems go here)I'll take you wherever you need to go
Though I've got this love I can't let it show
I'll carry you in my heart
Even if we end up miles apart

Tell me, where are we sailing?
Over the edge if the horizon
Looking just around the bend
Searching to begin again

Can't find the path we started from
The dust and smoke will carry on
And the wind will wipe away our tracks
Leaving no crumbs to lead us back

Where we're going we won't need maps
Following the direction of the sun
But don't stare at it too long
Or you'll forget where we've gone

Hey, don't walk so fast
Let this single moment last
Just a second let me lie
And believe that you won't pass me by

The road gets rougher as we go
The weather testing our strength of mind
Our backs break but then they'll heal
The bruises fade and cuts will seal

Can't we stop and stay right here?
In my arms, you've naught to fear
Let me be your warmth and light
And sleep here another night

I'll take you wherever you need to go
Though I've got this love I can't let it show
I'll carry you in my heart
Even if we end up miles apart
