If I Could Go Back

Location

I would have changed the way I treated her.

Cast away from the land of African Pride,

That one snowflake

 Unable to melt or shine.

I was supposedly a nice person.

I was that girl

That liked everybody

Too make them like her.

She was that girl that just needed to be liked,

And I stomped that need

Into dust

Because I was afraid

Of my own label.

Nice girl, with "nice" friends

That I didn't want to lose

Even though they were hurting

An innocent piece of snow.

I was that girl

That finally melted that snowflake

Into a puddle of misery.

If I could go back,

I would have held her hand of cooties,

And would have melted with her.
