I Write

I write for recognition,
Then throw anonymous behind it.
I write for expression,
Then edit the words that I really mean.
I write to stop thinking,
Then mumble about word choice.
I write to feel better,
Then re-read it and feel worse.
I write to release energy,
But exhaust myself too much.
I write to stop thinking like this.

I write to release any thoughts that I have,
So that I may sleep.
I write to build confidence,
So that someday I can gain
So that I can
Express myself.
To finally
Stop thinking
And maybe feel a little better.
