I Watch The Shadows Fall

Sat, 08/03/2013 - 22:18 -- bayley

As the sunlight slips between my fingertips
I watch the shadows fall
They fall in lacy breaths over my skin,
Making darkness and light seem so intricate

As the sunlight slips between my fingertips
I watch the shadows fall
They fall in lacy breaths over my skin
Making the darkness of life seem so intimate

I watch the shadows fall
I watch the shadows fall
And wonder why I ever was afraid of them at all
