I Want You

You move on to greener pastures.

I crawl in the dried grass leftover.

You search for bigger, better places.

I gather the memories of what you left behind.

You climb up the ladder of success.

I pull splinters of the wood from my hands.

You search and find what you were looking for.

I clean up the clues left behind.

You live happily ever-after.

I wait for you to come back.

Will you ever give me what I want?

Because hhonestly, all I want is you.
