I use music to sooth the beast.
A B C D E F G,
I nod my head,
A flat B flat,
I stare at the ceiling,
C flat D flat,
I lie wide awake in my bed.
Though sound may fill my mind,
I pay no attention,
I listen in vain,
nothing sweet,
how could I be so blind?
You took my heart and broke it,
left it smashed.
I have a side like the hulk,
and it's going to come out.
So you know what I do to stop it?
I'll tell you the least,
I jam.
I thrum,
and I let go.
I use music to sooth the beast.
A B C D E F G,
I nod my head,
A flat B flat,
I stare at the ceiling,
C flat D flat,
I lie awake in my bed...
