I still sing
The world is falling apart around me
People screaming and crying for equality
Yet I still sing
They try to shush me and my tune
Looking at me like I am a loon
Yet I still sing
When no one dare say a word against the bad,
but complain that everyone is always sad
I still sing
And with every lyric I sing, every melody i hum
It makes the pain that much more numb
So sing with all your might
Through the endless days and peaceful nights
For singing is an outlet for the pain to go
That you dare not let show
This poem is about:
Me
