I Have a Crush

Like every girl, I have a crush.

Someone I know that makes me blush.

He makes me laugh and he makes me cry.

So much sometimes I think I'll die.

I try to stop because I know

That no relationship could grow.

But still my heart does the flip-flop thing.

In every passing, my eyes to him cling.

I'll fight against it every day

And yes, I'm aware of what you'll say,

"Oh the drama, oh the angst!

Calm down woman." I know... so thanks.

Instead of teasing my daydream affairs

Discourage me in my sighs and stares.

A person's heart when trapped in love

Could sometimes use a big ol' shove.

And if or when my crush is through

I'm rather likely to play the next in queue.
