I grew

I grew and grew

quicker than the birds flew

faster than the vines on the house

quiet like a mouse

arguments expanding my mind

there was no room for family to be kind

I grew when you locked the room

I resented you and all you do

slowly growing closer

freedom sweeter than you never being sober

I grew

but did you?
