I Don't Know
I don't know
How can three words
small as can be,
scare the living sh*t out of me?
It's hard to admit,
but harder to ignore
that once I graduate,
I don't know who I want to work for.
As kids we learn to shorten the phrase
to "IDK".
This takes all the worries away.
When we don't have to think,
don't have to make up
the minds that we have been molding,
why would we have an answer
to the question that your lips are holding?
I'm getting a degree
to better myself and to get a job (duh, what else).
But I don't know where it will take me,
or even after four years,
who I'll be. That's what college is for,
right?
The thing about life is
in a second things change.
Today I'm a student,
tomorrow the president,
and the next day deranged?
As students, we are bombarded
with questions galore.
But no one will help us answer
the question they've born.
TBH IDK wut 2 do wit my lyfe
But I do know what I choose will be just right.
In a generation that hasn't been prepared for this sh*t,
eventually I'll find the perfect fit.
