I don't hate you

Sun, 02/26/2017 - 19:59 -- JaMiyah

I don’t hate you

I hate what you do

I can’t stand you

But I still respect you

But you treat like the dirt on your shoe

I can’t speak when you’re on my chest

Refraining me from getting the words off my chest

You claim i’m a threat but i’m on the ground sir

I promise i’m not what i seem

You judge me not knowing a thing

But let me hurt you they’d knock me down

You have the power

every way around

I got my hands up

But what runs through you is fear

how do you be strong when all you feel is fear

Bang bang bang

Another one gone

What do you say to the family at home

Bang bang bang

Another life taken

how can you still be so mistaken me for him and him for her and us for this

But you will never hear me say I hate you

Every though the pain stays

But others will

Because they want justice too

what do u expect when you're putting us through something we already struggled through

What we already been through

Don't understand why we have to fight for freedom all over again

If this is the land of the free

Why do i feel the need to preach

About how my live matters

Just how your life matter

All these people abusing their power

But there's nothing to say

Cause you've heard it all before

And still you decide to ignore

All the signs right in front of you

and you still don't have a clue

You won't understand until it happens to you
