I cry

I cry for the words never saidI cry for the voices never heardI cry for the ears who never listenedI cry for the people who never cared I cry for the people drowning in their fearsI cry for the kids scared to go homeI cry for the parents who don’t know their childrenI cry for the souls who was given up on I cry for the harsh words thrown aroundI cry for the punches being thrownI cry for the kids who are black and blueI cry for the insults being given out I cry for the kids who go unnoticed I cry for the kids who don’t know loveI cry for the hearts that were broken I cry for the silent falling apart I cry for the despair that claims us allI cry for the ones who feel no other way outI cry for those who say “goodbye”I cry for those who scream “please don’t leave me” I cry for the kids who hide under the blankets to keep the “monsters” awayI cry for those who feel lostI cry for those found on the bathroom floor, barely breathing I cry for those who still hold on I cry for the love that was lostI cry for the bitter hatredI cry for those who were claimed by the ReaperI cry for those who keep fighting I cry for the anxiety that haunts us allI cry for the depression that has claimed this society I cry for the stereotypes that hurt today’s youthI cry for the disorders that holds us in a choke hold I cry for a twisted societyI cry for a dark worldI cry for a unforgiving lifeI cry for the forgotten and the remembered I cry for meI cry for themI cry for usI cry for you
