I Care
I care,
because I know there are distressed people everywhere.
Life gives everyone some pain,
and in it they continue to remain.
I want to give them that smile
that hasn’t come to them in a long while.
I’m not the kind of person who is only affected by their own life,
since I know that my conflicts are not the world’s only strife.
Everybody has sadness.
Be it financial, emotional, or just their life’s emptiness.
If someone has the burden of paying off tuition or a household expense,
I won’t be the monotone voice saying “We’re sorry but we can’t offer any more assistance”.
I’m going to see what I can give and try to continually support them,
since I want to see their burden lessen and their happiness blossom.
If someone leaves their family or friend due to the result of a fight,
I will stand by them to let them know that someone understands their plight.
I will try to bring back their loved ones by making them realize why they should offer support.
People are the ships that want to journey somewhere else but their loved ones should always be their port.
Some people just don’t even have anyone to call a friend.
This needs to end.
Their empty life needs to be filled.
It needs to be filled with people that make them feel thrilled.
I want to talk to that student sitting alone at their table,
since they too are human and not any other label.
This is how I want to brighten people’s lives for only three types of problems,
but there are still other setbacks that prevent people from realizing how they’re as unique as emblems.
People have succumbed to their pain and grief,
since other’s have ignored their feelings rather than offer some relief.
I hope to lend them a helping hand
or at least hear them out, so they know that someone does understand.
A person just needs support
to get over that rejection, that insult, or that nasty retort.
It is simply my duty and my joy to reach out to someone somewhere.
I care.
