i wake in the morning,

having no warning,

of how i would be looked at

like i have on a funny hat.

i walk through the halls

with no fear at all

knowing that who i am

is who i want to be.

you can look me up and down

but you will never see me frown

because i am who i am

and who i want to be.

i am proud of who i've become

i am definitely not scum.

anyone can achieve

who they want to be,

just like me.
