I am one of color

the shade of a box 

I am a twin of a brother

who is straight, when I am not 

I am not confused 

This is reality 

I do not need time to grow up

I am part of the LGBT community 

I am surpessed 

I want to strut my true colors

not the ones my parents

want me to

I am a bird 

caged by the ones 

who are suppose to 

support me the most 

After countless lectures

arguments, tears

am I content with myself

because

I am who I am
