I Am What I Am

I am what I am -

Whether I can - Whether a plan -

To be a conscious genius -

Of what lies - And what is man.

I prayed once when I was young -

As I learned the English tongue -

But I never got an answer -

Of how to live - Where I was from.

Questioning existence -

Asking for permissions -

Following the rules -

Following traditions -

Learning conformations -

Hazed by salutations -

Structured incarnations -

Freedom by formations.

I am what I write, you see -

Whether you know what is truly me -

As Shakespere wrote the question,

"To be or not to be."
