I am... Scholarship Slam

Flesh, blood, and bones

Raised in multiple well-to-do homes

Traveled across various states

Excited to see what awaits

Struggled to fit in certain places

But others had friendly faces

Schools were not clear

And put me in much fear

As body began to mature

I felt highly insecure

But I learned to fight

With all my might

To become stronger

To last longer

A new chapter is unfolding

For my life after high school is moulding

Preparing for the future

I will be my own suture
