I Am NOT A Letter Grade

Location

I stayed up so many nights doing busy-work

That you've assigned.

And you didn't even give us back the grades

From the test we took about

Lets see...

Three weeks ago?

I'm doing my absolute best

To keep my end of the bargin,

But you don't really need to keep yours.

Since in this relationship

You have the power.

You have the power to stick

One letter

On my bruised transcript

Which I have to use to pursuade colleges

That I'm really worth it.

I am not a D or a C or even an B.

And I am definitely not an A.

I'm a real person

Who deals with real problems

Outside of this crowded classroom.

I have a personality,

And interests,

Friends,

Family...

But all you do is weight

my GPA.
