I, alone.

I, alone, get to choose

who I get to be.

That choice is mine alone.

No one else but me.

Trials and tribulations

along this winding path

can be met with Fervor

or be met with Wrath.

To the left or to the right

it is mine to choose.

Whether to dark or to light

I decide win or lose.

Every single day

destruction can be found.

Not in bombs or bullets,

But with the people I'm around.

Though every single day

there are those who tear me down,

I choose to scavenge for those

who will build me upon solid ground.

I, alone, get to choose

who I get to be.

That choice is mine alone.

No one else but me.

Pretty inspiring. I like it's simplicity and straight to the point. Also the picture is pretty accurate in describing the poem. Awesome!
