Ignoring the world that comes by day and night.

Disturbing it may seem --

But, it is my only sense of freedom.

For the longest time..

It was something that I have never longed for.

I was deemed as “Selfless” --

No personality, they say.

Going with the flow, they say.

Fake, they say.

“Living doll”... they say.

Just another somebody..

I wanted to be in the spotlight --

A place where no one else mattered.

Listened to the sad blues,

Dropped tears.

Overachieving,

Overflowing compliments.

No one else was more important,

I was first.
