Hypnotized

this bitter after taste is left to rot me inside out

the words that spills out from my mouth

a tumble of desperate pleas

I bet you were more than pleased

to toy at my heart

I was so soft then

I bet you loved it

the things you did to me

but you were so slick

how could I have been warned?

I was so blind!

that poisonous tongue of yours

hiss out innocuous sounds of promises

I was so hypnotized

I fell asleep

I'd dream of wild dreams

of you and me

of intoxicating touches from your harmless hands

but when my eyes cleared from the reveries

I realized something a miss

You did not so much as meet my eyes
