Hummingbird

Lightly fluttering from flower to flower,

and zipping from place to place

like a small fairy.

Daintily sucking necter

as it flits through the flowers.

It makes no sound

but the thrrrr of it's wings beating together

I sit and smile at the tiny bird

that frantically flies around the garden

He has a nest up in the big pinetree,

that stands on the corner of my front yard.

Every day he leaves his home

and darts around the garden.

Making me smile once again.
