Humble Ego

Just when you think you've figured it out

Just when it seems you have no doubt

Hop off that pedistal and give me a shout because you know i'll be listening for your cries

Just when you think you've seen it before

just when you think there is no more

I'll help you up when you fall to the floor

Just when you think that you're life's on track

just when you think there's no turning back

i gotta pull you down and give you a smack cuz you know i got one big target

just when you think you have your fame

just when you think you're at the top of your game

someone's bringing you down, i'm the one you can blame

just when you think you're on display

parading past everybody oh but they

think you're livin' a lie, wandering astray, i say your life is but a joke

now you think you've got the right to complain

just when you think your life's in vain

sit your ass down and let me explain

are you listening? do i have your attention?

listen to me ladies and gentlemen

we are all just children all across the world

no need to prove you're better off than all the other boys and girls

so stop strutting around with that undeserved sense of pride

i can see through the coverup, you're insecure inside

and if i tore you to shreds, i wouldn't find one shred of humility in your worthless body

so now when you walk around town does it seem others turn you down?

because we know when a humble ego's fake

we ain't playin no charade

now i'm thinkin that your time is up

to be the next diamond in the rough

only you can help yourself now
