Humanity

Wickedness lurks in the minds of many

A cloud of darkness that conceals all grace.

Death and destruction of which there is plenty

Exists in excess in this wretched place.

But something redeems the people on Earth,

Gifts of bliss, of life, and of happiness.

Qualities of immeasurable worth

Bestow feelings which prose cannot express.

Pondering that which I can't live without,

When people from my past surge through my mind.

Worthy people, but I soon figure out,

Why choose one when I can pick humankind?

Humanity has made a man of me.

Without it, nothing is all I would be.
