How to filter what comes in?
Mark 4:24
24 Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use,
it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.
“… and to you who hear ... more will be given …”
Listening is more important ... oh whisper in the air!
Surely what we hear … will offer us true living
through the Spirit’s guidance ... in our “chosen” sphere.
When we talk it surely displays ... our inner substance.
Is a man as good or bad ... as the words he hurls?
What is the responsibility of the hearer in that instance?
Is that not the intention ... that underlines what’s heard?
How to filter what comes in ... through the eyes and ears?
How to find the circumstance ... where purity resides?
Who leads me by the hand and is always near?
Who will fill my heart ... with what is right?
Are the voices heard mostly ... in the outer court?
Is it in the Holiest … where God’s will is heard?
Are the words written in the heart ... not in the Holy Place?
Aren’t we the temple ... where we witness to the world?
Is it not the love for your neighbor ... to invite Him in your heart?
Is not love God with all your heart ... required in your “to be-in”?
Is that not what makes … “your” temple stand apart?
Is that not where the hopeless and helpless will be fleeing?
