The Hopping Hare

The whispers chirped all through the air,

The trotting deer, the hopping hare.

They moved with swiftness that was so divine,

But then nature settled into one dismal line.

The trees blew harder and the clouds grew thick,

Everything moved so quickly, so fast, so slick.

God's wrath was felt from high in the sky,

And everything dropped and started to ly

On the ground not moving a single inch,

And everything changed without missing a hitch.

But as times seemed dark, the Lord changed his mind,

And life grew again, hoping to find

The path that laid before but it wasn't there,

So a new journey starts for the trotting deer and hopping hare.

And so it goes, in a cyclical way,

the circle of life, the change of night to day.

It moves like clockwork like God intended.

When times seem dark will will be mended.

Forgo what you know before as everything will change,

So adapt with it and expand your range.

When life seems impossible, God gives you a dare,

To keep on trotting like the deer, and hopping like the hare.
