Hopeful Sun

Twinkling in the corner of my eyes

Shining past leaves of the trees I pass by

She warms me

Revealing the blinds she is always there

Smiling compassionately with such empathy

Rises and sets

Every dawn and dusk

She knows how tiring it can be

Yet she also knows the beauty

The value of bringing light each day

She knows its worth

Kissing my cheeks rose

Hope is what she shows

She shows me I can shine too
