Hopeful Fantasies

We all have fantasies

About our future,

Our love life,
Our career,

When we’ll die,

How long we’ll live,

We all fantasize something.

Sometimes though,

We let them take over us.

We are so confident after all we’ve seen,

The same things over,

And over again.

Eventually,

Our minds think that was reality.

But then,

Memory hits;

The imagination is overwhelming.

Reality throws a heavy blow.

The reality makes us cry,

Wishing to turn back the clock,

Change the past,

Control the future.

But we have no power to change anything,

But ourselves.
