honeydew
I can feel my eyes soften
at the thought of you
my heart, turned molten
warmth, liquid gold through & through
running through my veins
the thought of you reigns
and triumphs the kingdom that is my mind
archaeological remains
of old thoughts no longer shine
because they have been occupied
my heart ascends from my chest
a lightweight feeling
why do they say love is a foul pest?
it feels like a fantasy healing
that has become my reality
