While you took some notes about the Americans at war I hid my feelings for the longest time  So that you wouldn't walk out the door But when the time came  You chose her over me  All because I wasn't true to you  And you thought we could never be I left the impression that friends was all we were And that you should spend you time with her While on the inside I was dying  I was hurt way beyond repair But I did this too myself I acted like I didn't care I told you that it was crazy  When truth was that the feelings they were there To this day I still hurt a little  When I see you with another  Maybe one day I'll finally let you know  That I saw you as more than just a brother
