Her Love For Robo

She sat in her 1994 Geo-Tracker, in the school parking lot--

feet on the dash and all.

She was sipping on Robitussin, and smoking a cigarette.

It was 7:45, she still had 15 minutes until she had to be seated in Pre-Calculus.

Every now and then her lips would pucker from the bitter taste of the cherry-flavored cough medicine.  

Her eyes had dark crescent-shaped lines underneath them; it looked as if she hadn’t slept in days.

Her dry, artificially dyed blonde hair was thrown up into a ragged bun, and you could see the dark roots of her natural hair color, trying to reach the surface desperately.
