The rain drops
not from the clouds,
but from the Heavens above.
They drip from the treetops
and drop from each branch
and nestle into leaves,
glisten on webs woven tight from
spiders at night,
for the day is too hot
to carry such a chore.
The moss is quenched,
the roots fulfilled their wish,
rivers gush into ponds so clear
where koi fish swim in circles.
Waters reflect cerulean skies
bearing pink cotton candy clouds.
