Heartbreak

Heartbreak lays in bed at night,

While tears stream down her face.

The thoughts run through her head,

as she wonders why he doesn't feel the same,

When all she did was adore him.

She flies on the wings of sadness,

Hoping someday she'll go back to where she was.

Heartbreak still has that sliver of hope,

among the cloud of despair.

Heartbreak still wants him,

even though he broke her inside.

He still makes her heart race when she sees him.

Everyone tells her to forget,

That she could do better,

But she doesn't want to.

Hearbreak lays in bed at night,

hoping something will change.
