That He Says

You tell me I'm pretty much perfect

That any time you spend with me is worth it

That I'm different from all the ones before

That I'm the only one you could adore

That my nose is a little long

That my opinions are all wrong

That my hair is as soft as snow

That my eyes are filled with an amber glow

That I'm starting to gain weight,

My chin is too straight

That you want to be mine

That our love is sublime

That my skin is pallid and ghastly,

Other girls are much prettier, vastly

That we are meant for each other

That he would never leave me for another

That I do not deserve him

That I was only a whim

The words you say have no communion

I say that we end this tormenting union
