The one thing I’d like to see

But don’t see often in a classroom

Is a sense of love and excitement

Or even a musical tune.

Classes are mute, quiet, soundless,

And every synonym in between

We can’t listen to help us focus,

And it will continue ‘til we turn eighteen

I suggest making a deal

With all the teachers across the country

Let the children enjoy their melodies

Let them enjoy their music, aye

It helps them work

It helps the focus more

And their test scores skyrocket

And helps colleges open their doors

As for the teacher

It is your utmost responsibility

To get off that cushion of yours

And help your kids live to their best ability

Rock, jazz, dup-step, pop

Whichever they choose as their helper

Teachers, give your students a chance

To find a better future
