Halfhearted Studies of Occult Metaphysics

Say morbid things

They’re black silk

Fill us with them

The cold began to get to us

Sucking stubble

Sewn-shut eyes that cover blue

You’re a beauty

We’re just dead.

Much more beautiful,

And much more shocking blue

Don’t stray with the lights.

Keep following me around.

It adds to the tragic story

The romanticism of travesty

Just so fun to break

Bring the delicate, dark malt

And fill the hole with salt

Stop thinking you’re alone

You’re not as empty as they say

We know you’re not down and blue.

We should have witnessed it

So we could shout and warn you.
